On the afternoon of September 5, Luis López, Ambassador of the Republic of El Salvador to China, visited Sichuan International Studies University. President Dong Hongchuan and Deputy Party Secretary Gou Chaoli met with the ambassador.

Dong Hongchuan introduced the university's profile, and expressed the hopes that this visit would strengthen educational ties with El Salvador and foster exchanges.

Ambassador López emphasized El Salvador's cooperation with China, hoping the visit would create opportunities for young people to study in China. He also proposed joint development of online training programs to promote academic and cultural exchanges.

 Xie Tihong, Director of the American Affairs Office at the Foreign Affairs Office of the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, and cadre Cheng Keqiao accompanied the delegation. Representatives of SISU participated.
