In today's world, where the wave of artificial intelligence is sweeping the globe, AI is not only an engine for technological innovation but also a new medium for cultural expression and narrative. To explore the integration of technology and humanities and to promote cultural exchange between China and other countries, our university is hosting the “‘My Story, My Country’ AI Creative Sharing Hub” Creative Video Contest. We sincerely invite students from China and abroad to use AI tools to tell their stories with their home countries from a unique perspective. The relevant details are as follows:

I. Contest Theme

“My Story, My Country” AI Creative Sharing Hub

II. Participants

All current Chinese and international students of SISU, students from overseas partner universities, and students of Confucius Institutes (Classrooms).

Participants may enter individually or as a team. Teams may not exceed 5 members.

III. Submission Requirements

Content Theme: Participants are to independently determine a story related to the theme. Topics may include local customs, traditional festivals, cultural heritage, technological development, historical events, etc. Submissions must comply with the relevant laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and other countries. The content must be positive, healthy, truthful, and accurate, and must not contain inappropriate information.

AI Technology Application: Submissions must make full use of AI tools (such as AI video generation, AI drawing, AI voice synthesis, AI editing, etc.) in their creation. The tools used must be listed in the description.

Language and Subtitles:

There are no restrictions on the language for the video's voice-over or narration.

Chinese-language videos must have complete English subtitles. Non-Chinese-language videos must have complete Chinese or English subtitles. Subtitles must be clear and legible.

Video Format:

Duration: 3-5 minutes is optimal.

Format: Common formats such as MP4 or MOV, with an aspect ratio of 16:9 and a resolution of at least 1920*1080. The video must be clean and clear, without any corner logos, channel logos, watermarks, or other identifiers.

Originality and Copyright:

Submissions must be original. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. All multimedia materials used (images, audio, video, etc.) must be original with clear copyright. There must be no disputes regarding copyright of the visuals, music, fonts, or authorization for the use of personal likeness. Plagiarized or repurposed works will not be considered for evaluation.

IV. Submission Method

Please send the completed application form and letter of commitment to faosisu@sisu.edu.cn by November 16, 2025, Beijing time.

V. Evaluation

Evaluation Process: After the submission period ends, the organizers will assemble a panel of experts for evaluation.

Evaluation Criteria:

Relevance to Theme (30%): The content is closely related to the theme, with profound conception and sincere emotion.

Integration of Creativity and AI Technology (30%): The concept is novel, and the application of AI technology is clever and appropriate.

Artistic Expression (20%): Excellent use of audiovisual language, including visuals, sound, and rhythm.

Overall Quality (20%): The work has a complete structure, clear logic, and high production quality.

VI. Awards

First Prize (1 winner): Certificate of Honor + RMB 800 prize (or prize of equivalent value)

Second Prize (3 winners): Certificate of Honor + RMB 600 prize (or prize of equivalent value)

Third Prize (5 winners): Certificate of Honor + RMB 300 prize (or prize of equivalent value)

Outstanding Advisor Award (9 winners): Certificate of Honor

Outstanding works will be publicly screened at the 2025 Sichuan International Studies University International Culture Festival, a signature cultural event of SISU.

VII. Other Matters

(1) When submitting, participants must truthfully fill out all required information and provide real and accurate personal information and contact details. If the information provided is incomplete or inaccurate, the organizers will disqualify the participant.

(2) Participants must confirm that they own the complete copyright to their work. The organizers are not responsible for handling disputes arising from issues such as rights of likeness, reputation, privacy, copyright, or trademark. If such disputes cause losses to the organizers, the organizers have the right to hold the participant liable.

(3) For team submissions, one main creative member must be designated as the contact person for the application. Duplicate submissions are not allowed.

(4) There is no registration fee for this event. Once a work is submitted, the participant is deemed to have agreed that the organizers have the right to technically edit, promote, and use the work. The organizers may use the work free of charge for non-commercial purposes such as event-related promotions, exhibitions, and demonstrations.
