On September 8, a delegation led by Matt Dean, Director of International Affairs at Manchester Metropolitan University, visited SISU to further discuss the joint application for establishing the Sino-foreign cooperative education institution. The meeting was attended by Gou Chaoli, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, along with representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, the School of International Education, and the School of Journalism and Communication.

During the meeting, both parties reviewed the achievements of the joint application process, summarized the progress, challenges, and underlying causes, discussed issues related to the cooperation agreement, and reached consensus on the next steps and timelines for implementation. Both sides reaffirmed their high priority on the joint application between the two institutions and committed to ensuring the timely completion of all subsequent tasks.
