On November 28, local time, the second “China-Russia Science and Technology Innovation Year” Chinese speech contest was held by Confucius Institute at Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University. Twelve out of twenty-one students entered the finals and all did very well in the finals, showing their achievements in learning Chinese. The Chinese speech contest aroused students’ enthusiasm for learning and using Chinese and boosted their interest in the current affairs between China and Russia.
