2015年3月16日下午，英国南安普顿索伦特大学校长Graham Baldwin教授，副校长Mike Wilkinson教授，高级顾问Lara Martin女士和Min Liu博士一行访问我校。我校李克勇校长，张艳副书记和乐勇副校长在西区行政楼501会议室与来宾会谈，对其到访表示热烈欢迎。
会谈中，李克勇校长简要介绍了川外的历史沿革和发展现状。他表示非常欢迎南安普顿索伦特大学在川外设立办事处，并认为双方可以在教师交流和学生交流等方面开展合作。
随后，Graham Baldwin校长介绍了南安普顿索伦特大学的概况和发展情况。他指出我校注重培养学生应用能力，重视国际交流的办学理念，为两校的深度合作提供了良好的基础。
最后，双方一致认为两校合作前景广阔，并就学生交流与教师合作项目、联合办学及外方在川外设立办公室等问题达成了共识。
我校国际合作与交流处副处长陈功，新闻传播学院院长严功军、国际教育学院院长曾传芳、国际商学院副院长李江参加会谈，翻译学院教师秦勤担任现场翻译。

Delegation from Southampton Solent University, U.K. Visited SISU
Vice-Chancellor of Southampton Solent University Professor Graham Baldwin and his delegation visited SISU in the afternoon on 16 March, 2015. President Li Keyong, Vice-president Zhang Yan and Yue Yong met the delegation in Administration Building A501.
President Li Keyong briefed the delegation SISU and its history. He welcomed the establishment Southampton Solent University Office in SISU. He believed that the two universities could cooperate well with each other.
President Graham Baldwin presented an overview of Southampton Solent University. He pointed out that the school attached great importance to practical training and international exchange, which provided a solid foundation for the cooperation between the two universities.
Both sides agreed that there was a broad cooperation space between the two. They consented that the two universities could carry out cooperation on student and teacher exchange, joint education and operation of Southampton Solent University Office in SISU.
Deputy Director Chen Gong from International Office, Dean Yan Gongjun from School of Journalism and Communication, Dean Zeng Chuanfang from College of International Education, and Vice Dean Li Jiang from College of International Business attended the meeting. Qin Qin from College of Interpretation and Translation served as interpreter.
