French Ambassador to China Bermann Visited SISU

5月10日上午，法国驻华大使、四川外国语大学名誉教授白林一行访问我校。李克勇校长在西区外交外事实验中心模拟谈判实验室同大使一行亲切会谈。
French ambassador to China, Ms.Bermann, paid an official visit to Sichuan International Studies University with her delegation on the morning of May 10. Ms Bermann also serves as an honorary professor of SISU. President Li Keyong met with the ambassador and had a friendly talk with the delegation in Simulation Lab for Diplomatic Negotiation at western campus.
李克勇校长首先对白林大使一行访问川外表示热烈欢迎。他指出我校十分重视与法国的教育合作与交流。学校在法国驻华大使馆，驻成都总领事馆的大力支持和帮助下，与法国高校合作进展顺利，促进了中法两国教育文化交流。白林大使赞赏川外在法语教学和法国文化研究方面取得的成绩，肯定了川外在中法两国文化交流中做出的贡献，并希望中法双方继续加强合作与交流。
President Li extended warm welcome to ambassador Bermann and her delegation. He pointed out that SISU attaches great importance to education cooperation and exchange with France. With the help from French Embassy and the Consulate General in Chengdu, our cooperation with French universities has been developing smoothly, which significantly promotes culture and education exchanges between China and France. Ambassador Bermann spoke highly of the achievements that SISU has made in French language teaching and French literature study. She appreciated SISU’s contribution to cultural exchanges between the two countries, and hoped that both sides would continue to strengthen cooperation and communication.
会谈结束后，白林大使一行到外交外事实验中心模拟联合国实验室与部分法语学生座谈交流。白林大使回顾了中法两国建交50周年的历史，坚信中法之间的友谊将在未来更上一层楼。她鼓励川外发挥自身优势，多举办中法文化交流活动，加深中法双方教育文化友谊。同学们就中法两国关系、教育制度、赴法留学等与白林大使展开交流，交流座谈会现场气氛热烈。
After the meeting, the delegation had a conversazione with students majoring in French in Simulation Lab for Diplomatic Negotiation. Ambassador Bermann retrospected the 50 years of China-France relations and held the faith that the friendship between the two countries would enter a new phase. She encouraged SISU to give full play to its advantages and hold more cultural exchange activities to enhance China-France cooperation in education and culture. Students from SISU had a heated discussion with the ambassador on China-France relations, education system, overseas students studying in France and so on.
此后，白林大使一行前往法语联盟和设立在我校的法国图卢兹大学联合体驻中国办事处参观。白林大使在法语联盟观看了“视觉外的艺术”摄影展，参观了多媒体图书馆；在法国图卢兹大学联盟的旗帜上签名留念。
Afterwards, the delegation went to Alliance Francaise and the Chinese Office of the Toulouse University. Ambassador Bermann visited the photography exhibition “ Art of Blind ” in Alliance Francaise, the Multimedia Library, and signed her name on the flag of the Union of Toulouse University as a momento.
法国驻华大使馆文化教育合作处参赞周子牧，对外联络及翻译处主任贝路易；法国驻成都总领事馆总领事魏雅树，文化教育合作处语言、环境项目官员任思洁；中国国际广播电台西欧拉美中心法语部记者邓颖平等陪同来访。
The ambassador was accompanied by Anthony Chaumuzeau, Counselor of Cultural and Education Section of the French Embassy; Louis Belmont, Director of Office of Liaison and Translation; Olivier Vaysset, Consul-General of the French Consulate General in Chengdu; Ren Sijie, Program Officer of Cultural and Education Section in charge of language and environment; and Deng Yingping, a journalist from French Department, Centre of Western Europe and Latin America, China Radio International (CRI).

Zhang Wen from Europe Branch of Foreign Affairs Office; Prof. Yue Yong, Vice President of SISU; Prof. Chen Gong, Deputy Director of International Cooperation & Exchanges Office; Prof. Yi Li, Dean of Department of French; Prof. Yang Shaolin, Secretary of Department of French; Chen Fang, Director of Alliance Francaise; Chen Jia, Head of Office of French Higher Education Agency in Chongqing; Wang Xiaokang from the Office of the Union of Toulouse University in China; Prof. Wang Jianguo, Dean of Department of Eurasian Language of Chongqing Nanfang Translators College under Sichuan International Studies University also participated in the meetings.
