On February 2, the Confucius Institute at the University of Lomé organized acticities to celebrate the lunar new year of loong.

As part of the event, the institute invited a history professor and researcher from China Studies Center of University of Lomé to give a lecture introducing the traditions of the Chinese New Year.

Following the lecture, students of the Confucius Institute performed songs and dances, presenting a medley of Chinese New Year songs played by the instruments such as the trumpet, piano, electric guitar, and African drums.

The celebration was featured by Chinese film screenings, and food tasting.
