On December 20, 2024, the Consul General of Myanmar in Chongqing, Lin Zhuoyue, paid a visit to SISU. The Party Secretary, Zou Yu, and the Deputy Party Secretary, Gou Chaoli, met with the delegation.

Secretary Zou Yu expressed SISU's intention to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Myanmar, in facilitating Myanmar faculty, students, and representatives from government and enterprises to study and exchange in SISU.

Consul General Lin Zhuoyue emphasized his commitment to advancing collaboration between SISU and Myanmar universities. He also expressed the hope that SISU would provide more opportunities for young Myanmar students to pursue studies in Chongqing.

The two sides held friendly discussions on promoting institutional partnerships between SISU and Myanmar universities. They agreed to expedite the implementation of new educational cooperation.
