Academic Delegation from the College of French Studies Visits Morocco
From May 20 to 27, 2025, Professor Yang Shaolin, Academic Dean of the College of French Studies and Director of the Center for Francophone Development Studies, Dr. Wang Ya, Deputy Director of the Center, and Associate Professor Liu Shuaifeng, Vice Dean of the College of French Studies, visited Mohammed V University in Rabat, Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University in Fez, and Ibn Tofail University in Kenitra, engaging in academic exchanges.
At Mohammed V University, the two sides explored interdisciplinary development, including student exchanges, mutual credit recognition, and the design of a terminology module.

At Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University, the delegation met with university leaders to explore cooperation in academic programs and student mobility.

At Ibn Tofail University, the two sides conducted in-depth dialogue on jointly establishing a “Sino-Moroccan Cultural House,” and building a cultural exchange gateway, and develop a physical platform.

On May 24, 2025, the delegation visited the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Morocco and met with Ambassador Li Changlin. Ambassador Li Changlin is an alumnus of SISU’s French major, Class of 1982.

Yang Shaolin informed Ambassador Li about the series of events held in celebration of SISU’s 75th anniversary, conveyed greetings from the alma mater, and introduced the development of the university and the School of French Studies, as well as its cooperation with Moroccan universities. Ambassador Li expressed his appreciation for the greetings and congratulated SISU on its anniversary. He expressed concern for the development of SISU, affirmed its role in training French-language talent and promoting educational exchanges between China and Morocco, and noted that China–Morocco relations are strong and that Moroccan people have great affection for Chinese culture. He encouraged the delegation to deepen and expand cooperation with Moroccan universities and to cultivate versatile talents for the Belt and Road Initiative.
