From October 28 to November 1, 2024, Vice President Hu Anjiang led a delegation to visit to the University of Newcastle and Macquarie University in Australia.

On October 29, Vice President Hu Anjiang met with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Macquarie University, Eric Knight. They discussed the specifics of cooperation for the International Organization Talent 3+1 Bachelor-Master Experimental Program.

On October 30, the delegation visited the University of Newcastle. Both sides discussed matters related to contract renewal, revisions to curriculum settings, dispatch of foreign faculty, and student and faculty exchange activities, among other details.

On October 31, the delegation toured classrooms at the University of Newcastle. During this time, they also visited and greeted students from SISU studying at the University of Newcastle.
