On January 5 local time, five Chinese teachers from Confucius Institute at Lome University were rewarded by Ministry of Higher Education and Research of Togo with certificates of honor, for the efforts they had made to popularize Chinese in Togo and to promote the Sino-Togo cultural exchange. Chao Weidong, Chinese ambassador to Togo, and Wateba, the minster of Togo Higher Education and Research Ministry, attended to the award ceremony.
