Embassy of Malaysia in China Donates Books to SISU

In an effort to enhance the teaching of Malay language, the Embassy of Malaysia in China donated 33 books to SISU. The book donation ceremony took place on May 18th. Vice President Zhu Chaowei of SISU attended the ceremony.

The donated books encompass a wide range of literature, including grammar textbooks, captivating collections of short stories, and notable works by esteemed Malaysian literary figures.

During the exchange, Ambassador Raja Datuk Nushirwan Zainal Abidin expressed his appreciation of SISU’s contributions to the Malay language education and expressed support for the program's development in SISU. He pledged to enhance cooperation with the university through book donations, educational exchanges, and promoting friendly exchanges between China and Malaysia.

Vice President Zhu Chaowei expressed appreciation on behalf of the university for the book donation. He highlighted that the university's Malay language program, which started in 2020, currently has its inaugural students studying at the University of Malaya. Vice President Zhu emphasized, "at SISU, we firmly believe that language serves as a bridge between cultures. We are committed to further strengthening our Malay language program and nurturing talent, making valuable contributions to the advancement of China-Malaysia relations and the promotion of exchange and cooperation between Chongqing and various regions in Malaysia."
