On the afternoon of April 10th, a delegation from the University of Newcastle, Australia, led by Vice President Aleksandr Voninski, visited Sichuan International Studies University (SISU). Vice President Yan Gongjun met with the guests, accompanied by representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, the School of Business English, and the School of International Business Administration.

During the meeting, Vice President Yan Gongjun reviewed the fruitful achievements of the Sino-Australian joint educational programs between the two universities. He expressed hopes that the insitutions could build on their existing collaboration to apply for new Sino-foreign copperative education intiatives.

Vice President Aleksandr Voninski emphasized that the University of Newcastle has always regarded SISU as a key partner. He expressed confidence that through sincere cooperation, the two universities would seize favorable opportunities and achieve new breakthroughs.

Subsequently, both sides engaged in substantive discussions on the feasibility of expanding collaboration in various formats. Topics included joint programs in big data, applications for innovation projects under the China Scholarship Council, dual master’s degree programs, and short-term exchange initiatives.
