On the afternoon of Feb. 1, local time, the Confucius Classroom at the Siyuan Academia de Lengua China in Ecuador held a Spring Festival gala to welcome the Lunar New Year. Chinese Ambassador to Ecuador Chen Guoyou and Galo Sandoval, Ecuador’s Vice Minister of Culture and Heritage, attended the gala.

News organizations including Xinhua News Agency and CGTN, along with major Ecuadorian media outlets such as Ecuavisa, Teleamazonas, Gamavision and TL, interviewed teachers and students at Siyuan and highly praised the organization of the gala and the quality of its performances.
