From November 5 to 8, Rachelle Viader Knowles, the International Director of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK, led a delegation to visit SISU to discuss the establishment of a joint institute and other cooperation matters. President Dong Hongchuan and Deputy Party Committee Secretary Gou Chaoli received the delegation.

On November 5, Deputy Secretary Gou Chaoli held talks with Director Rachelle Viader Knowles, expressing the importance SISU attached to the establishment of the joint institute.

From November 6 to 8, the Manchester Metropolitan University delegation held working meetings with SISU’s International Cooperation Department, College of International Education, and School of Journalism and Communication, having finished the survey and collected materials. The two parties reached an agreement on the setup of collaborative courses.
