On May 17, Chongqing College of Multi-languages of SISU was established. College of Multi-languages will build a leading demonstration base in Western China for talent training of non-lingua franca, think tank study, language services, literature materials, and international exchange and cooperation. At present, there are seven majors for non-lingua franca. In the next three years, 8 to 10 non-lingua franca majors will be set up to cover languages of important nations along “the Belt and Road” in Southeast Asia, South Asia and Middle East.
