The Fourth Council Meeting of the Confucius Institute at the Central Eastern Ohio Educational Service Center Successfully Held

On the evening of July 8th, the Fourth Council Meeting of the Confucius Institute at the Central Eastern Ohio Educational Service Center (hereinafter referred to as "the Ohio Confucius Institute") was successfully held via video conference. Randy Lucas, the superintendent of the Central Eastern Ohio Educational Service Center, Michele Carlisle, the foreign director of the Ohio Confucius Institute, Matt King, the financial director, and Nic Brown, the technical executive director, as well as President Dong Hongchuan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Gou Chaoli, and relevant personnel from Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and the Division of Financial Affairs of SISU attended the meeting.


President Dong Hongchuan praised the work of the Confucius Institute, expressed gratitude to Randy Lucas and the council members for supporting CI, invited them to visit SISU and welcomed the teachers and students of the Confucius Institute to China to participate in the summer camp.

Randy Lucas reviewed the cooperation, recognized the work of the Confucius Institute, and expressed the hope to continue the collaboration. Michele Carlisle presented the work and financial report of the Confucius Institute, summarizing the situation in 2024 and reporting the plans for 2025. Finally, the two sides exchanged and discussed various matters involving the promotion of the Confucius Institute.
