On the afternoon of March 21, H.E. Dr SC Cwele, Ambassador of South Africa to China, and his delegation visited SISU.  

Ambassador SC Cwele and his delegation, accompanied by vice presidentWang Renqiang, visited the University History Museum and expressed their recognition of the achievements made by SISU. In the meeting, Ambassador SC Cwele expressed the hope that SISU would receive South African students to study here in the future. The embassy is also very willing to support SISU to conduct South African research. Chen Huaqiao, Director of Institute for Economy, Trade and Finance at the BRICS Research Institute, introduced the relevant situation of BRICS Research Institute of SISU.    

After the meeting, Ambassador SC Cwele delivered a speech to teachers and students of SISU on the topic of“Highlights and outlook for South Africa as the BRICS’ Chair in 2023”.
