On June 8 local time, at the invitation of the organizing committee of the Pushkin International Arts Festival, a 12-member delegation from the Confucius Institute Linguistics University of Nizhny Novgorod travelled to Bolshoye Boldino, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, to participate in the Pushkin Day events. Teachers from the Confucius Institute integrated the highly symbolic cultural symbol of "Pushkin" into five Chinese traditional culture courses—including Chinese language, paper cutting, blue and white porcelain, ink wash painting, and calligraphy—thus initiating a wonderful cross-temporal cultural dialogue between China and Russia.
